If your tooth has become broken, badly decayed or damaged in such a way that a filling is not strong enough to support the tooth, then a Crown may be recommended by your dentist as the most suitable treatment option for you.
The traditional way for us to provide you with a new crown is for us to take an impression of your 'prepared' tooth, and then to send this off to our dental laboratory for our technician to make a new crown for you. This usually takes around two weeks and requires you to wear a temporary crown whilst your new crown is being made.
However thanks to advanced technology, here at Styvechale Dental Care, we are excited to be able to offer our patients the opportunity to have a new crown and tooth designed, created and fitted all on the same day! This is down to our CAD/CAM system called CEREC - which we use for the production of all-ceramic crowns and inlays/ onlays for front and back teeth.
